UK Employment Taxes Manager

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for someone to have a significant impact on key deliverables and projects of the Bank and ensure that the Bank is tax compliant from a regulatory perspective.The role will involve assisting the Regional Employment Taxes Lead UK, Europe and Americas with managing all aspects of Employment Taxes from compliance to advisory working closely with different stakeholders in the Region and Business. This would involve annual compliance work, monthly/quarterly technical reviews, assisting with reviewing policies and processes and assisting with Employment Taxes projects The role will work closely with the Regional Employment Taxes Lead UK, Europe and Americas and will also be interacting with other areas of the Bank including Global People Service (GPS) and Global Financial Services (GFS). In-house technical training will be provided as required.BusinessProcesses

• Manage the UK and German Tax compliance reporting ensure that that the relevant reporting is carried out correctly and on time with help from the relevant teams.
• Preparation of the PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA).
• Assisting with the preparation of Forms P11Ds.
• Technical review of expenses on a quarterly basis.
• Assisting with the preparation of share returns and dealing with ad-hoc queries.
• Assisting with the annual Short Term Business Visitors reporting.
• Assisting with ad hoc project such as cost savings initiatives, staff termination programs, remedying process/policy weaknesses.
• Assist the team to ensure that polices and processes are compliant with regulatory requirements including the annual review and update of POI/DOIs.
• Be responsible and own basic administrative tasks/work relating to the Employment Taxes for UK, Europe and Americas.
• Assist with reviewing and summarising the Quarterly Employment Taxes Governance templates for UK, Europe and Americas.
• Assist with Employment Taxes matters for UK, Europe and Americas.
• Working closely with different teams and stakeholders in GPS to ensure that work is carried out.
• Be responsible for ad hoc queries and work as required.

• UK Tax and/or Accounting qualifications such as ACCA is not essential but would be viewed favourably.
