You will be part of the daily IT support team handling all phone calls and mail support from the vessels and perform onsite IT support in the Mumbai office assisting with various issues related to workstations, printers, mobiles etc. You are able to work and operate independently, process the necessary documentations and data collections, monitor system performance, perform required actions and respond to users within the allowed time. You avoid occurrence of errors and take preventive measures to eliminate repetition of errors and can suggest and initiate value adding activities that will help to improve all task related to the IT processes. You maintain close communication with users and update them on the progress of the IT tasks. You will be involved in installationupgrade of hardware installations on- board the Maersk Tankers vessels. The position has excellent opportunities for continuous professional and personal development in a complex, multi- cultural and demanding global environment. You must expect to have both day and night duties due to rolling duty roster. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor of Information Technology Good understanding of Windows Server, Windows clients, VPN and Citrix Strong knowledge of setting up PCs, including BIOS configuration, Microsoft operating systems and connectivity (LAN, Wi- Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) Advanced and structured troubleshooting knowledge of PCs, printers, peripherals and network Advanced knowledge on Microsoft Office applications including basic troubleshooting and support services Reporting, updating and closing incidents according to the agreed processes, within the IT Service Management application. Knowledge on managing network on both LAN and WAN setup Knowledge in TCPIP, DNS server, Active Directory and DHCP server is an advantage. Good knowledge on ITIL V3 framework certification is an advantage. Knowledge on terminal services and thin clients is an advantage Knowledge in satellite communication system (VSAT, FBB500) is an advantage Knowledge in process documentation and reporting is an advantage. inimum 2 years experience in Vessel IT Support Personal Competencies Skills and Competencies High sense of urgency Structured person with an analytical and creative mind- set who can find solutions using the remote tools and the assistance of the vessels crew Ability to work with people at all levels and with cultural diversity in the organization Ability to work and operate independently in shifts as we are operating a global support around the clock.
