Job Description

The Control Management Groups (CM) mission is to solidify an effective Firmwide control framework within and across the lines of business by identifying and remediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of the source. The CM team will work collaboratively with other control disciplines and will oversee existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. This process will enable the firm to engage the appropriate teams in a timely manner and provide the ability to quickly remediate critical control issues across all the impacted areas of the firmThe role would require the candidate to:

  • Serve as a part of the Control Management Business Analysis team, responsible for supporting the design and implementation of the Operation Risk platform and related ecosystem.
  • As a Product owner support the Work Stream lead to gather, analyze, document, communicate and validate business requirements, as related to key aspects of the process including scenario analysis
  • Understand the program context and the business environment related to Operation Risk& Control at JPMorgan Chase.
  • Drive discussions during user story refinement, sprint planning, backlog grooming
  • Influence business users and application development teams.
  • Maintain appropriate change control processes and traceability. Coordinate and work closely with the technical developers during systems development and testing.
  • Support user acceptance testing in coordination with the business. Assist the training team to compile job aids and training documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver system enhancements as a Product Owner
  • Capture business requirements based on interactions with stakeholders
  • Draft user stories and work with Feature teams for delivery as part of the sprints
  • Resolve queries the feature team has on the requirements
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely escalation and resolution of all inquiries.
  • Review Test scripts for user acceptance test during implementation phase.
  • Capture metadata for business and reporting concepts as part of the requirements
  • Review metadata in line with Metadata management requirements
Minimum experience required:12+ years of total work experience with 5-7 years as a Product Owner (Business Analyst) with related experience with AGILE.Skills required:
  • Must have experience working with Agile methodology
  • Must have experience eliciting and writing business and functional requirements through user stories
  • Must have experience working with client and systems migration.
  • Must have change management and user acceptance testing experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational risk management practices and controls
  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Management activities
    • Business definition for data attributes
    • Understand Business terms usage for reporting
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure completeness of Data Artifacts
  • Experience in working on JIRA, SharePoint and traceability matrix.
  • Intermediate knowledge on MS office suite
  • Must have project management experience.
  • Must have analytical skills and attention to detail in written documentation
  • Must have people management experience
  • Able to manage effectively through influence and knowledge
  • Able to provide creative problem resolution, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and confident
  • Good verbal/written and inter-personal skills
