As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) you will help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems.Much of our support and software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and reducing work through automation.You ll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks.As an SRE you ll be focused on running better production applications and systems.The SRE will be a key contributor to core infrastructure and functional development teams throughout the life cycle to help support software for reliability and scale.Key areas of focus include automation, application/platform uptime and quality, packaging/distribution techniques, platform design operability , analytics, deployment, adoption, and tool development, among others.The position will wear many hats from owning day to day health and performance, to identifying incidents/developing remediation plans, to working with open source software and experienced packaging techniques, to working with development teams and contributing to the strategic roadmap and execution.Candidates from a variety of software, platform, or automation engineering backgrounds will be considered for this position.Responsibilities:Design, code, test and deliver software to automate manual operational workTroubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidentsEngage with development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changesBuild and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patternsDesign automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutionsCoach or manage teams as applicablePartner with business, development, devops and production support to ensure the overall test strategy is fit for purposeLiaise/coordinate with other groups (across sites) to coordinate/execute end-end testing. Co-ordinate with project team members globally to ensure deliverables are met to agreed schedules.Proactive identification of risk and issues and work out mitigation plan. Timely escalation.Qualification:-Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in an software engineering discipline12+ years experience working on large/medium sized projects ideally in Java EE with Payments DomainExpertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering softwareExperience in Database functions (Oracle, Casandra ), performance Tuning, optimizationFamiliarity with Python programming language, Autosys schedulerExperience with log analysis and monitoring tools such as AppDynamics/SPLUNK/ GeneosUnderstanding of the Java/J2EE technology stack, web technologies, experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting, JDBCKnowledge of infrastructure components is preferred (E.g. routers, load balancers , cloud products , container systems , compute, storage and networks,
