Who are we looking for We are looking for an early career researcher who is ready to work in challenging settings. The position provides an opportunity to work in close association with the Adivasi community-based organisation and provides a unique experience for fieldwork in remote and forested areas. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated towards working in community health and limited resource settings. The candidate shall work closely with the THETA project PI and 2 other Research Officers. She shall be in charge of data collection and management and shall oversee the activities of the field station. THETA project encourages early-career researchers to apply. Candidates shall benefit from extensive institutional experience in mentoring young researchers and professionals into a public health career. Essential requirements We prefer candidates with: -Passion for living and working in communityrural settings Postgraduate degree preferably in public health Commitment to be involved in extensive fieldwork in southern Karnataka Fluency in speaking Kannada; reasonable fluency in written English Ability to use basic computer applications related to data management including Excel and SPSS Desirable requirements The candidate may have: Experience in household surveys Relevant researchpublication experience Job location This position is based in IPH Field Station office in B R hills (see location here) .
