I have had so many amazing and memorable experiences like the middle school play that we put up called Alamgir . B.D. Somani stands out as a school because the teachers let you evolve as an individual. Teachers constantly motivate you to do more than you think you re capable of. Students must experience life at B.D. Somani because this school is one that gives you as many academic experiences as possible while helping you discover your personality.Since coming to middle school , I ve done things I never dreamed I would be doing. I have learnt so much , not just in the classroom. In Grade 6 , our Social Science teachers involved four of my classmates and me in a project for our annual Social Science exhibition. We had been learning about Mumbai that year , and they wanted us to write a book on the history of Mumbai , telling everyone what we had learnt. This book that we envisioned as a small little booklet ended up being 200+ pages , and it is called Mumbai: A City Unveiled. By far my biggest achievement at this school. All our teachers are so passionate about the subjects they teach. They never refuse when a student asks for help , often giving up their free time to help us out. We take risks in class and group projects , confident that everyone will do their part. Everyone has their talents , and we all get a chance to showcase them. If you considering B.D. Somani as your school , I will tell you to look forward to all the projects , the trips and the new friends you will make.I have been in the Secondary school a little over a year now , in this short period , I have gone through one of the biggest and quickest changes in my life. My favourite experience by far has been Alamgir , the middle school play. Over the period of around five months , with a lot of practice and dedication , we put up one of the most spectacular productions. Another experience that stands out for me is the MUN (Model United Nation). MUN is a great opportunity for us , students , to learn about current affairs and express our stance on global politics. My personality is evolving , and my experiences in middle school allow me to find new interests and discover new things. There is more time for self - study , as well as we have more application based questions , and concepts that we can study more in depth. I have had so much fun learning this last year , and I cant wait for another.I joined B.D. Somani in Junior Kindergarten , as a five - year - old and for the last seven years , it has played a vital role in my overall growth. I think this school stands out because everyone is encouraged to express their talent. B.D. Somani embraces change instead of rejecting it. There are many opportunities to compete and prove yourself and showcase our talents outside the classroom. My proudest achievement so far has been when I won the best delegate award at MUN - the only sixth grader to win it!I joined B.D. Somani in Grade 6 , and I think that this was one of the best decisions I ve made. In addition to the different way of learning at my previous school , since coming to B.D. Somani , I have had the opportunity to involve myself in so many other experiences that I never had before. I have had so many interesting experiences crammed into one year alone , that I cant wait to see what the rest of my school years will be like. Whether our class trip to Nashik or our Annual day , BD Idol or our science exhibition , each experience has shown me a new facet to myself and helped me grow. I have learnt so many new skills like how to be more articulate on stage , or how to work as a team for exhibitions. I even spoke in front of a really big audience at the social science exhibition. And through all these experiences Ive had such a fun time as well bonding with my classmates and getting to know them.At B.D. Somani , every child s individuality is recognised and respected.
