Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesJob Purpose

  • Lead and participate in the design and implementation of Analytics team infrastructure to align with the vision of the company. Lead a team Responsible for the implementation of ongoing Sparkbeyond-Azure project. Actively participate in all phases of this projects in Analytics team. Should be able to manage team of 4-7 in data engineering and provide support for the team of ~75 data scientist.
  • Leverage experience to evaluate new data technologies and build scalable data engineering and ML engineering framework.
Job Responsibilities Manage Team
  • Lead a team of talented data engineers and will be looked upon to set team roadmaps, present to executives, drive the career development of you team members, and influence all facets of the company s data engineering strategies.
  • Collaborate with all data scientist to identify and build pipelines and patterns that are relevant to advanced analytical model.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors and estimate work load and report to unit head.
  • Cross functional support
  • Coordinate across multiple team in marketing team and provide support related to data availability and governance.
  • Participate in PODs and share the views to increase the business value.
  • Interact with multiple data source team and streamline the data flow.
    • Data governance and data quality assurance. Impalement robust framework to govern data and lead team to report data quality with data scientist.
  • Implementing new technology solutions
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions meeting data warehousing design standards
  • Educational Qualifications
  • Graduation / Post graduation in IT / Computer Science Key Skills:
    • Prior experience in handling large team
    • Extensive databaseknowledge (SQL needed, NoSQL advantageous)
    • Extensive DBA knowledge
    • Expert knowledge of PostgreSQL
    • Good experience of Scala and functional programming languages. Experience Required (examples listed below)
      • Minimum experience in years: 12 - 15
      • Prior experience in designing database architecture and managing data warehouse / data marts
      • Prior experience in handling large team.
      • Prior experience in handling big data technology, Hadoop/HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive
      • Proficiency in engineering practices and writing high quality codes.
      • Experience in Agile methodology.
      • Building and managing ETL workflows and Familiarity with an ETL tool (e.g., SSIS, Airflow)
      • Strong databaseknowledge (SQL needed, NoSQL advantageous)
      • Expertise in ETL tools like SSIS, Airflow, etc.
      • Expertise in SAS, SQL and Python programming
      Experience in versioning programs and protocols (e.g., Git/Github, Mercurial/Bitbucket)
