*IT Location Manager JD This role provides accountability to business operations for delivery of the services and projects by IT Services, at the level of quality agreed by business. This role must establish, sustain and enhance a working relationship with Project, Office Location Managers, such that business management is aware of and supports IT Services plans, and IT Services is fully informed of business plans and requirements. This role also have line accountability for Services delivery. Major Accountabilities of Position: Maintain an efficient and effective working relationship with Project, Location and Management within the location. Remain accountable to location business operations management for the cost, quality and delivery of IT Services and projects. Where required by a business operations priority or significant issue with IT Services, this role is accountable to focus relevant IT Services specialist teams to deliver the business need as a matter of priority. Remain current on business and project plans within the office locations, and propose and oversee relevant IT Services support to business operations initiatives. Ensure Project, Location and Office Managers remain current on IT Services plans; presenting the benefits and gaining their agreement and active support where relevant for that Location. Managing team of technicians, system engineers and other IT staff Organising new sites/offices set ups and support Management and support of Data CentresComputer Rooms management Air Con, UPS, providing smart hands support for Network and Server equipment s etc. DR management and testing, input to DR plans Management of vendors e.g. ISPs, Local Comms, DCs, Access control, consumables etc. Input to new project bids (bring in other IT specialist teams as required) Escalation of IncidentsRequests where stalled, handling complaints. Represent the needs of the business in all global IT Services projects, and provide business operations input to develop andor update the IT Strategic Plan, architecture andor standards. Managing assets Spec with EUC team, gain approval from business, procure, store safely and securely, stock take etc. Disposals of assets storing for disposal, preparingensuring secure wipes, vendor interface, local regs compliance Job Specific Knowledge: 5+ years experience as in charge of IT Services for large location (>2000 user base) preferably for a global organisation. 3+ years experience with assessing the impact and challenges for IT Services of business operations. Experience with the deployment of relevant IT Services international standards, practices and methodologies. IT Skills: 10+ years experience with IT Services provision. People Skills: Proven ability to manage in a virtual team environment. Proven ability with relationship management at office management and senior management levels. Proven ability to empathise with internal clients, especially for when Incidents, Problems and / or Changes arise with the provision of IT Services., *Any Engineering/IT graduation
