Job Description

Our client is the leading global supplier of chemicals that is spread across continents. - The HR Manager Asia Pacific works with the senior APAC leadership team to enable the implementation of the companys human resources policies and strategies in the region.- This position will be responsible for HR processes in the region - ensure compliance, competitiveness and impact for the business.- This role will lead and manage all aspects of the HR function within the assigned geography, currently consisting of offices and/or facilities . Travel to sites will be required.- This position also contributes and works closely with the Global HR Team. It is responsible for implementing any global corporate policies, procedures, strategies etc.Job Profile:- Work closely with the Managing Director & VP Asia Pacific and Vice President Human Resources (based outside India) to build a strong people culture in the organization. Drive programs to engage, motivate and retain staff in the region. Actively involved in hiring of senior positions- Continue to foster and build pro company culture through employee engagement- Provide coaching and where necessary, initiate and execute exit activities for senior people- Help mediate conflicts, as a mediator or guiding leaders how to solve it themselves- Build leadership skills and high performing teams- Drive to ensure employees are committed and have work life balance- Implement the global people plan and align people matters to the objectives of the region- Build an effective organization for sustainable growth- Build relationships with people at all levels to gain their support to implement short, medium and long term Human Resources initiatives and programs- Review, design and implement rewards, learning and development, talent and workforce planning systems with the aim to increase the morale and commitment of staff in the region and to upskill their competencies.- Work with the management team to partner them in their people needs and requirements- Review the current compensation and benefits and to implement improvement to the regions compensation and benefits programs- Develop a team of competent Human Resources team in the region- Provide strategic and operational insight, advice, knowledge, and experience across all human resources activities for the Asia Pacific- To work as a business partner to drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of all organisational change, people process and business improvement initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness and develop leadership- The candidate will provide both transformational advice and transactional support across all key areas of HR including recruitment, on-boarding, strategic resource planning, retention, employee relations, reward, organisational design, people data and people development- This role will provide thought leadership, strategic input and the ability to act as both influencer and enabler ensuring that the role adds demonstrable value to the strategic and operational aims of the businessCandidate Profile:- Degree in HR discipline or relevant field- The incumbent must have experience across SEA and any western country- Ability to partner with senior leadership across the countries- Desired 10+ years experience working in a fast-paced HR environment, preferably at HR management level in mid to large international organization- Experience working in a Multi-site Manufacturing environment and previous exposure to relevant labour issues in this environment- Demonstrated success in generalist roles helping business partners align human resources planning and business strategy- A Human Resources professional who is passionate about what he/she does.- Has empathy and is able to balance between the objectives of the organization and needs of individuals- An individual with high integrity and is able to build trust with the people- A strategic business partnering Human Resources leader who views the overall value of a person to the organisation when recommending solutions- Has strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills and is a logical problem solver who is able to resolve conflicts and bring people to work as one team. Able to work comfortably in a matrix environment- Is a hands-on leader who is always willing to roll up her sleeves to get the job done,
