Kindly find further details below.Job Title - Research ScientistLocation - Mumbai / Near MumbaiQualification- Msc ChemistryExperience- Minimum 5 Years of ExperienceCTC -upto 20 LPAIndustry - A Leading Manufacturing IndustryPosition SummaryResponsible to manage entire R&D operations independently with scrutiny of sampling, reaction and formulation of new products out of it while ensuring and analyzing the hazards along with preparation of safe handling procedures for the same in pilot plantsRoles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the vapour phase chemistry process development work at lab scale
  • Design experiments based on literature reports and handle R&D projects independently
  • Study & research on the available literature on chemistry & MSDS (material safety data sheets) for assigned projects, for development of new products or molecules or for improvisation in existing process
  • Selects the most commercially viable route in consultation with R&D Head (synthesis)
  • Proposes the novel route of synthesis
  • Regularly interact with the analytical team to ensure right methods of analysis
  • Ensure that reactions are carried out correctly as planned and data captured propely in the report.
  • Plans daily reaction for the group and submits daily work report.
  • Prepare TTD (technology transfer document) immediately after the completion of the project as a SOP guideline for production team. Generate the required safety data from external vendors, wherever required.
  • Lead R&D projects for both, new product development and process improvement
  • Ensure right allocation of the resources for R&D projects
  • Uses statistical (DoE) and advanced laboratory reactors for process intensification.
  • Devise new cost effective improvements in the process in consultaion with R&D synthesis head.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations as required related to projects
  • Initiate and take active part in HAZOP (hazard operability) studies and prepare reports as per requirement
  • Coordinate closely with process team for successful scale up of R&D processes at pilot and plant
  • Lead & develop team by providing regular trainings
  • Develop team by providing growth opportunities through regular training of the team members
  • Keep abreast with the latest developments in the industry pertaining to technology and procedures by visiting exhibitions, participating in conferences etc.
  • Lead improvements and new initiative for better project performance
