If you would like some flexibility then please discuss this with the hiring manager.The core responsibility of the role holder is to lead and manage BAU operations, with greater emphasis on a smooth operation of the BAU, Minor-works changes). Additional responsibilities will include contributing to the team to form data Quality & number validation layer so that the team is equipped to proactively help in number validation and also act as the connect between business and support team. This involves delivering smooth operations, managing key customers, achieving targeted business metrics and ensuring compliance with the defined SLAs. The role holder will be additionally responsible for maintaining the governance and control framework surrounding Planning & Stress testing tools and identifying and driving process improvements.What will you be doing o Ensures adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements) o Works closely with the Team to achieve Quantitative and Qualitative targets specified by the Client o Works closely with the technology and with the business to ensure timely and non-disruptive implementation of the agreed system changes while strictly adhering to the change windows o Addresses administrative issues arising out of day-to-day working o Performs regular quality checks and supervise the process in terms of number outputs o Establishes innovative systems and procedures for handling data & reports and proposes improvements where possible o Act as the escalation point for the team in terms of Data investigation specifically during data submission and reporting cycles (Outlook, MTP, STP, RAF, IST, EBA, PRA etc.) o Ensures compliance with Controls and audit. o Point of contact with business for live system support for business o Monitors and reports on overall system operations performance o Cluster Finance and Risk teams responsible for data input and query resolution o Ensures Audit and Operational Risk as covered o Liaise Group Functions (Risk/Finance/Treasury) and Clusters o Responsible for managing technical systems relating to finance and accountingFor data structures o Understands the relationships between data inputs and reporting data models o Understands the impact of changes in the hierarchical element on the other artefacts in the system set up and is able to guide the technology team as well as the business for the pre-emptive remediation of the possible data/functionality loss o Close engagement with technology teams to understand any changes and provide operational impact assessment.Client Interface / Stake holders o Ensure Client expectations of operational performance and efficiency are met o To report to the Client at the end of every month on performance by the teams o Act as an interface with the client and to be responsible for completely managing the day-to-day operational functions for the team o Identify process gaps and collaborate with the Client to formulate solutions o Resolve issues/ disagreements, if any with the Client Line management & consultancy o Expertise to the planning and research of a variety of change management projects e.g. automations, reductions in timetable, process re-engineering, enhancements etc. (Support with instances) o Need-based escalation of decisions and ensure proper follow-up of the same o Work towards organisational goal of Process Improvements & Reengineering targets.What we re looking for:o Graduate degree (Bachelors in Commerce / technology or equivalent) o Experience after graduation degree o Knowledge of Financial Services in banking environment o Proven ability to adapt to an evolving operating model and to actively participate in its development o Should be able to handle multiple stakeholders effectively o Proven ability to work under pressure and balance priorities to meet tight deadlines. o Good Analytical and problem solving skills o Hyperion Planning & Essbase knowledge o Hands on experience of Budgeting / forecasting / Stress testing / hierarchy managementSkills that will help you in the role:o Knowledge of accounting principles o Budgeting, Forecasting & Stress testing submissions knowledge will be a plus o Understanding of organization hierarchical structure in SAP (Profit Centre, Cost Centre, SU, MU etc.) o Understanding of Hyperion Planning, Essbase and associated applications o Should have excellent inter-personal and communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other stakeholders. o Additional desired skills are: Understanding of Barclays products and businesses.
