Job Description

Working as a Development Engineer at Signify is dynamic. You ll be part of the R&D team. We re greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.We re looking for a Development Engineer who ll be responsible for the Creation of Innovative products with the enhanced value proposition and cost competitiveness in a timely manner ahead of competition consistently to attain high growth and market share in Indoor lighting segment.You ll be part of the Signify R&D India team.What you ll do

  • Responsible for the design and development of Indoor office/Solar Luminaries using Sheetmetal/Plastic/PDC die-cast parts.
  • Responsible for Product development from concept generation to final product release in coordination with peer development group/Global platform team on agreed Specifications, Cost, Time, Quality and Investment.
  • Responsible for managing the projects following NPDL process in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Responsible for the development of Tooling, Component approval, First lot delivery, Product, and Quality documentation.
  • Responsible for benchmarking, VA/VE of product/Systems.
  • Responsible for Maintaining technicality of existing product portfolio and evaluating /implementing changes/up-gradation using ECN.
  • Responsible for resolving technical issues in the team and with suppliers.
What you ll need
  • Hands on experience on Sheetmetal/Plastic/PDC/Aluminium & Plastic extrusion manufacturing processes/constraints.
  • Exposure to tool development and vendor management.
  • Should be familiar with DFM & DFA in product design.
  • Hands-On experience on 3D design Software (SolidEdge / UG / Teamcenter)
  • Quick Learner, Analytical and creative thinker.
  • Quality conscious with improvement attitude.
