Job Description

*.Activities-Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. Perform RCA for Major Incidents.Follow quality / security process defined for the engagement. Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.Create and update technical documentation (server configuration, backup and recovery procedures, etc.)Prepare Weekly and monthly backup status reportsFundamental knowledge of Commvault, Networker Awamar.Through understanding of key Backup processes & their functionalitiesArchitectural knowledge of Backup tools. Good understanding of Backup process flow (daemons).Hands on knowledge of supporting L2oper ational activities & troubleshooting on Backup technologies such as Commvault, Networker Avamar, Symantec,HP Data protector.Strong knowledge on Upgradation on Master/Media servers. Strong knowledge on Migration of data from one backup tool to another.Experience with Virtualization (Oracle VM or VMware), SAN and NAS technologiesDatabase (SQL, RMAN, SAP, Exchange etc.) backup configuration, troubleshooting and restorations.Troubleshooting experience in backup & restore related issuesStrong knowledge on Duplication, De-duplication, Replication and SLPs concept.Strong knowledge about virtualization (snapshot level) backups.Must be familiar with some of the module based backups like Oracle, SQL, Exchange, etc.Strong knowledge about Media Vaulting, archival backups.Strong knowledge about networking (Master-Media-Client) communicationStrong knowledge about Backup Provisioning/De-Provisioning as per user requirementsSound knowledge & understanding about various backup technologies around virtualised platforms.Good understanding of various tape library hardware & componentsWillingness to work in a 24x7 global work environment.Good verbal and written communication.Good understanding on ITIL process.Activities-Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
