Job Description

    Statement of Job Responsibilities:Degree in Engineering / Diploma in Industrial Safety NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA Certification or PG diploma in industrial safety from govt. recognised institute with minimum 7 to 10 years experience in EPC projects working at site or in corporate office.Finalize the HSE plan for Turnaround in consultation with corporate safety Dept. Manager and submit for the approval by MBPL HSE head.Aware about the sites safety management programme i.e., TBT, MTBT, LOTO, SAFETY VIRUS, WORK PERMITS AND HEALTH & SAFETY TESTS AT SITE.Ensures all JSA are prepared in line with the scope of project working in coordination with all concerned departments.Ensure all JSA are signed and distributed to site safety team as per working scope.Ensure all unit in-charges are fully aware of the JSA requirements at site and ensures all JSA requirements are available at site thru audit and check lists.Ensures PPE distribution matrix and PPE uses at site are well maintained as per standard.Ensure frequent communication with site safety team and project management Department.Ensures that the Safety Officers at site investigates all sub-standard condition, incident, accidents etc. and files the close out report on daily basis.Ensures safety PPEs are given daily at site to all site workers.Ensures proper waste management at site and these instructs shall be as company protocol regarding environmental management system.Must be aware of all Control Procedures related to Safety and Environment.Ensures all plant and equipment mobilized to site has the required safety certification.Prepares audit check list for frequent site checks for Safety/Environment violations.Carries out periodic audits as per the audit checklist.Takes disciplinary action on personnel/ team who repeatedly violates safety instructions.Ensures the emergency/first aid caravan is adequately equipped.Ensures Contractor entry permits are taken before working with crane/ hydra and other equipment available at site.Ensures Hygiene of the messing facility and adequate protection is available at Turnaround village.Ensures emergency drill is conducted for all site workers in connection to fire and medical emergency.Ensure route map is made and approved by client at site for truck entry/exit to the Contractors Turnaround laydown facility.Ensures all emergency assembly points are clearly marked out and communicated to his workforce.Ensure the availability of sufficient no. of the Hole watch and Fire watch who are qualified and certified by the 3rd party agency as per the contractual requirements.Ensure In case of confined jobs, the Confined space entry permit shall be taken and identify & allocate the watch personnel in consultation with the site in charge at working space.
