Senior Analyst Data Visualization

• Data and Analytics team is a multi-disciplinary technology team delivering client projects and solutions across Data Management, Visualization, Business Analytics and Automation. The assignments cover a wide range of countries and industry sectors.

The opportunity

• We are looking for Senior Analyst BI / Visualization. The main purpose of the role is to help a product development team that works on conceptualizing, designing, developing, deploying and maintaining complex technology products which help EY solve business problems for the clients. The team is responsible for building multiple technology assets which form a part of a diverse product suite, to help our clients in the areas of valuations, diligence, divestitures, mergers and acquisitions.

Your key responsibilities

• Understand the relevant business problems and design creative, engaging and easy to consume visual insights
• Author and review of BI design specifications; develop, review and unit test reports, dashboards and other visualizations as part of solutions
• Execute, or provide expert advice related to data modelling and data preparation
• Work on and manage mid-size projects, and ensure smooth service delivery on assigned products, engagements and/or geographies
• Work with project managers to study resource needs and gaps, and devise alternative ways forward
• Provide expert reviews for all projects within the assigned subject
• Translate high-level business problems into a concrete technical requirements and work plans.
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members
• Promote the use of current technologies and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided
• Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with EY offices globally to develop Global Delivery Services opportunities
• Steer and develop participation in proposals and business development opportunities and participate in responding to proposals and new business opportunities.

Skills and attributes for success

• Minimum of 4 years of BI experience
• 3+ years of professional experience with dashboards and data visualization using Power BI. Deep understanding of writing SQL, DAX functions and working on M
• Minimum of 3 years of database design, modelling and integration experience with relational data sources, such as SQL Server databases
• Experience developing, designing canvas steered PowerApps apps as well as enhancing existing apps
• Knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate licensing and experience developing solutions that span multiple Office 365 services
• Solid working knowledge of report and dashboard design and development tools and techniques
• Strong data analysis and modelling using Alteryx.
• Curiosity to learn the business methodology, data model and user personas.
• Strong understanding of BI best practices, analysis, visualization, and latest BI trends.
• Experience with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and understanding of product development activities such as installation, upgrade and namespace management.
• Experience following DevOps best practices, such as unit testing, branching, builds, deployment, regression testing, etc.
• Ability to successfully interact with senior stakeholders
• Experience of steering diverse teams, complex engagements, mentoring and coaching junior staff to maximize performance.
• Sound understanding of disruptive technologies and innovation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Organized and structured in the completion of tasks
• Experience of working in advisory/consulting/industry environment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor s or equivalent degree in computer science, or related field, required. Advanced degree
• or equivalent business experience preferred
• Fact inspired thoughtfulness with excellent attention to details
• Hands-on experience with data engineering tasks such as building analytical data records and experience manipulating and investigating large volumes of data
• Relevant work experience of minimum 4 to 6 years in a big 4 or technology/ consulting set up

Ideally, you ll also have

• Ability to think strategically/end-to-end with result-oriented mindset
• Ability to build rapport within the firm and win the trust of the clients
• Willingness to travel extensively and to work on client sites / practice office locations
• Project management skills
• Exposure to tools like Tableau, Azure stack
