*POSITION SUMMARY:This position is for Software Test Automation Engineer where candidate is responsible for developing and testing of test automation scripts for power plant control, optimization and simulation, in fully assembled system environment. The job would also include coordination with peers, leads and supervisor during project execution so as to meet the deliverables within specified time schedule. The successful candidate will work as part of a global multi-cultural development teamESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Developing test automation scripts and configurationCreate an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture (TAA)Design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needsDevelop a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing processDefine and gather metrics to effectively report progress of the test automation program Actively participate in the software reviews from the software quality and testability perspectiveApply observation/Defect to improve the test automation processDevelop a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process Manage and optimize testing assets to facilitate maintainability and address evolving (test) systems, *EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronic and Communication, Electrical Engineering, related engineering discipline or equivalent5-9 years experience with atleast 4 years in test automationREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:Experienced in Open source testing tools used for building automated testsExperience in Windows Operating SystemsExperience in Black box and White box testingWork closely with Development teams, drive test plan / specification reviews for assigned features.Strong test mentality exhibiting excellent analytical problem solving skills and strong debugging skillsAbility to present issues found in testing to the Product Development EngineersKnowledge on software development life cycle (SDLC) Good English verbal and written communicationOther Advantages:Experience with the Agile methodologiesExperience in configuring or operating DCS, PLC or SCADAKnowledge of configuration of CISCO switches and routersKnowledge of virtualizationKnowledge in discrete and continuous controllers, HMI, bus technologies and field instrumentationFamiliarity with the power generation and/or water / wastewater industrie
