Job Description

Sr Operations Analysis AnalystRoles & Responsibilities:Includes taking complete ownership of the below steps that needs to be taken to the build the timeseries of derived data

  • Compile/Organize large dataset from multiple vendors
  • Quality check raw market data
  • Organize quality checked market data so that they are ready to be ingested into internal systems
  • Generate daily derived data for the historical time period
  • Quality check derived data for completeness and accuracy
  • Fix inaccurate data points and re-generate derived data in order to comply with high quality standard of the end product
  • Client communication and expectation management for internal stakeholders
Experience: Good working knowledge of Interest Rate, Equity or Foreign Exchange Derivatives and related markets especially with large derivatives datasetAt least 2 years work experience in financial sector Undergraduate or Master s degree in a financial or quantitative discipline is essential Proven experience of knowing what it takes to provide a consistently first class customer service internally and externally Track experiences in data analysis and process/product improvement Comfortable taking ownership for work, identifying the need for action whilst working effectively within a team Good English communication skills both written and verbal required for complex commercial and business discussions Analytical and well organizedTechnical requirements Experience with MS Excel, MS Access, VBAPersonal competencies Strong problem solving skills Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Flexibility and positive attitude towards meeting tight deadlines Shows initiativeCommunication Excellent written and oral communication skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationshipsTeamwork Strong team player who is comfortable working at all levels of the business and external stakeholders as required-----------------------------------------------Inclusion and diversity are critical to the success of IHS Markit, and we actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.
