Through our leadership in connected lighting and the Internet of Things, we re breaking new grounds in data analytics, AI, and smart homes, offices, cities and more!Signify is one of the few companies in the world to achieve carbon neutrality and our next sustainability goals are even bolder: doubling our positive impact on the environment and society by 2025.As a Supplier Quality Engineer you ll be responsible for:Key Areas of Responsibility: - This role is responsible for end-to-end quality relationship with allocated supply base.- This role qualifies suppliers, validates, and releases components and has the responsibility to veto if necessary.- Responsible for implementing supplier quality functional excellence initiativesOperational:- Implements supplier quality, and sustainability and supplier development processes where applicable.- Sets supplier quality requirements to suppliers and products (Leads and (co-)) decides on qualification of suppliers based on their competences and competitiveness during qualification audits.- Drives early supplier engagement in the NPI process, validates and (dis)approves release of components, assemblies, and processes at suppliers.- Owns the PPAP process.- Implements supplier development initiatives and ensures a safe working environment for all people.- Reports on performance, supports business reviews at suppliers.- Controls and (dis)approves changes of products and processes at suppliers using industry standard practices.- Engages suppliers in the Signify s Sustainability Programs such as Hazard Substance Compliancy, Carbon Disclosure, SSD and Conflict Minerals and responsible for their continuous compliance.Financial:- Compiles all data and prepares the rationale/case to ensure complete cost recovery in case of incidents.- Supports the supplier development team in the identification of savings and responsible for implementation of the identified savings- Responsible for all quality related elements in supplier contracts, thus enabling cost of non-quality recoveryCustomer- Works closely with suppliers to prevent quality incidents.- Accountable for quick but complete resolution of complaints and (dis)approval closure of complaintsYour qualifications and skills:- More than 5 years experience in Supplier Quality with confirmed knowledges in PPAP and 8D.- Fluent in English.- Effectively implements all relevant supplier quality processes and tools.- Is able to effectively manage risks with a differentiated approach.- Can train SQ tools to suppliers.- Has strong understanding of relevant commodity technology and business domains.- Is able to determine supplier technical capabilities based on this knowledge and effectively apply knowledge to resolve customer and production issues.- Understands sustainability and regulatory requirements and can apply them to ensure continuous compliance.- Can define and implement improvement programs for supplier.- Understands financial implications of solutions and requirementWhat you ll get in return We re offering multiple opportunities for career development, like mentoring, coaching and stretch assignments, with strong international exposure for dynamic profiles.
