Job Description

Competencies

  • Solid understanding of Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
  • Hands-on understanding of Performance Testing Phases
  • 3+ years of practical experience with Load Runner/Jmeter scripting & execution.
  • Expertise with Load Runner (Web HTTP, Web services, ODBC, Protocols) required
  • 1-3 years of experience with open source performance tools such as JMeter or Neoload required
  • Extensive experience with VUGEN and ANALYSIS for script customization and results analysis a must
  • Expertise with load testing for Web services , Micro services and IIB SOA Service implementation a Major Plus
  • Expertise with Windows, AIX and Unix monitoring for Performance analysis is a Major Plus
  • Knowledge with Fiddler and Wireshark with ability of translating captures into load scripts
  • Strong background with Performance Engineering Process and Strategies
  • Ability to elicit high level performance and capacity requirements and translate to testable requirements
  • Ability to translate a high-level strategy (for a portfolio) to a Test Plan for a discrete engagement
  • Experience with 1-2 programming languages such as Java/C#, JavaScript, C#, C, C++ and/or python will be preferred
  • Skilled at leading discussions with Dev, Product and QA teams in progressing testing tasks and providing periodic updates
  • Ability to create test harnesses for advanced technologies
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information while participating in code and design reviews
  • Experience with source code and version repository a must
  • Analyze root causes of performance issues and provide corrective actions
  • Generate test summary reports for management review.
  • Excellent team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate under minimal supervision.
.Required Skills:
  • Have 5-7 years of experience in Performance testing.
  • Produce Strategy, Plan, Execution and Result summaries for performance engineering activities across WM
  • Elicit scope and define performance test strategies
  • Provide report summaries that includes system resource trends along with load metrics.
  • Ability to utilize VUgen, Analysis and Control modules with extensive Load Runner /J Meter/Neoload scripting expertise.
  • Testing Web and Web service applications with high transaction rates
  • Orchestrate large tests with participation from various support groups such as Windows, CICS, DB2 and Networks
  • Adequately use Perfmon, Nmon and similar utilities for resource analysis
  • Performance test applications supported by IIB SOA, ITCAM, Data power, CICS, and DB2
  • Ability to use Fiddler and Wireshark to capture traffic and build test scripts
  • Conduct internal and wider audience meetings at each phase of performance engineering engagement
  • Ability to identify leaks (i.e. pathological trending) in fundamental hardware utilization
  • Identify pathological garbage collection behavior in Java and .net runtimes
  • Identify pathological behavior in networking (e.g. packet loss, retransmits, windowing collapse, etc)
  • Ability to identify pathological behavior in storage IO (queue depths, service times, IO rates, r/w ratios, block sizes).
  • Work with Jira , SharePoint , GIT and MS Teams and Remedy.
  • Articulate results and conclusive artifacts related to PE engagements.
Good to Have:
  • Knowledge of AWS
