Roles and ResponsibilitiesSupervising all fabrication/ welding/ finishing activities on the shop floorPlanning manpower, machine, material to increase productivity and reduce costsInspecting product at all stages of production and post production, including buffing, polishing, painting, powder coatingMonitor consumable consumption to control the costMaintaining safe and good quality environment in shop floorResponsible for training all operators/ technicians/ helpersResponsible for maintaining discipline within the team by all workersImplementation of KAIZEN and 5S culture in shop floor.Achieve timely dispatch of orders as per the project timelinesResponsible for coordinating with interdependent departments to ensure timely delivery and dispatchA chief engineer is the highest ranking engineer within a companys engineering department. They are responsible for leading a team of engineers to complete projects. They work closely with other engineers and technicians to safely and effectively complete projects on schedule.A chief engineer, commonly referred to as ChEng or Chief , is the most senior engine officer of an engine department on a ship, typically a merchant ship, and holds overall leadership and the responsibility of that department.The chief engineer, commonly referred to as The chief , or just chief , is responsible for all operations and maintenance that have to do with all machinery and equipment throughout the ship. He may be paid on par with the captain, and holds a similar rank as the captain.Chief engineers must show evidence of excellent problem solving skills as well as keen analytical abilities.
