Job Description

    We are hiring for an Indian multinational information technology (IT) services and consulting company.Location : Pan IndiaKey responsibilities:Support the manual calculation team and ensure that the manual calcs cases (BAU and BREACHES) allocated are performed with complete accuracy and within the agreed timelines. Perform quality review (peer review) of the cals of peer members and ensure that the final output delivered is accurate and the review is well documented and evidenced Provide actuarial manual calculations support where currently mainframe systems or UDAs are not available Produce actuarial manual calculations, Calculating various product servicing figures such as Fund value, Final bonus value, Early cash in charge, Surrender value, Death benefit, Transfer value, Projection value, Market value reduction (MVR) for : Unitized Pension, Unitized Life, Conventional Pension, Conventional Life. Perform calculations by applying the methodology and basis set in the relevant actuarial calculations specifications. Improve processes to enhance efficiency and controls Seek and act on opportunities to develop wider and deeper technical and business understanding. Draft and maintain up-to-date, appropriate documentation and checklists for any processes that are implemented.Experience:2-3 years of relevant insurance / Actuarial experience in the Life Insurance space for UK products (along with legacy products) Exposure to Actuarial concepts Track record of being a fast learner as evidenced by job performance. Good knowledge of Insurance companys products including reasonable understanding of With-Profits Strong Excel and Word skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent attention to detailCore CompetenciesGood understanding of UK life insurance products, In-depth understanding of insurance products and regulations of UK geography, hands-on implementation of calcs for legacy products within the model (desirable)Skills required:Stakeholder management Quality management Resolving the queries raised by policy holders/ IT department / operations department etc Good analytical skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Self-motivation and pro-activeness in driving on day to day work(Breach/BAU calcs) Strong technical skills/proficient in advance exce
