Assigned to channel partners based on geography, channel, or market, the Area Sales Manager (Channels) is responsible for achieving Secondary sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives. The Area SALES Manager (Channels) represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned partners though may focus on a specific solution or product set if focused in a partner vertical market. The Area SALES Manager (Channels) reports to the RegionalNational Sales Manager (Projects, Distribution & Channels). Establishes productive, professional relationships with key partners in his assigned geography. Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners expectations. Meets assigned Sell - through targets for profitable sales Revenue, volume, strategic objectives & Collections in his Geography. Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis. Proactively leads drives & supports all Tier 2 partners in his geography for Sell - out. Manages potential channel conflicts by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement. Provide timely feedback to Management on all aspects of business in his Geography. Ensures Partner alignments with the Region Area Distributor Drives adoption of Company programs Channel Spiffs Contests among assigned partners across his geography. Job Responsibilities (Cont ) Provides monthly, quarterly & annual Revenue forecasts by Geography and by product line. Proactively assists the Regional Sales Manager in Identification of new Distributors in his Geography proactively assist distributors in Inventory Planning & liquidation proactively assist & support distributors in Payment collections from T2 partners as and when required Achieves assigned Secondary Sell through Revenue Geographic Channel expansion & Coverage Tier 2 channel partner Training & Development Adherence to daily reports as prescribed Reports to the RSMNSM - Sales (Project, Distribution & Channels) Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and Management resources as needed. Closely coordinates company executive involvement with Partner and end - user customer management as appropriate. Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to Ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
