Job Description

The Blue Planet software division is seeking a stellar UI/UX developer for new initiatives in the network automation space. The candidate will be responsible for designing the UX and developing web-based UI to present AI-driven insights in an intuitive manner to the end-users. The Blue Planet platform is based on a modern micro-service architecture that leverages open-source technologies.The right candidate will be an experimented UI/UX developer with experience in the telecom space, and a track record of delivering visual story-telling data-driven products in a high-performance environment.Responsibilities

  • Develop creative and innovative web-based GUI for BluePlanet Analytics
  • Design and develop beautiful and intuitive story-telling UI components that communicate AI and network concepts while hiding complexity of the underlying telecommunication/networking technologies and data science
  • Develop high-performance streaming web application on top of a cloud-based Big-Data platform
  • Able to work independently and good technical/communication skills to collaborate in a global team
General Activities
  • Write software programs, together with unit and integration tests and technical documentation
  • Integrate components from open source projects with our home-grown code base
  • Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and DevOps process Collaboration with stakeholders
  • Daily collaboration with UX designers, software engineers, testers and data scientists
  • Work in a global team environment
  • Occasional interactions with partners and customers
Experience
  • Proficient with Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SVG
  • Proficient with frameworks such as Node.js and Angular2 (preferred), React, Ember, Vue, as well as JS libraries like D3.js, ECharts, Plotly.js, Polymer.js, etc.
  • Proficient with testing frameworks such as Protractor, Jasmine, Selenium
  • Good understanding of performance and rendering behavior of streaming big-data
  • Experience with Telecom NOCs, TAC, OSS an asset
  • Experience with CI/CD and cloud deployments is an asset
  • Experience with mobile application development is an asset
