Job Description

    Job DescriptionApplication Support (Microsoft EDGE) Engineer Responsibilities:
    • 5 to 7 years of exp. In Application support
    • Providing browser related application support e.g., Microsoft Edge.
    • Should have knowledge in migrating from IE11 to Microsoft Edge.
    • Anticipation is more of a functionality support rather than actual application support.
    • Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.
    • Ensuring effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications.
    • Evaluate existing browser environment, browser need and Determine deployment methodology
    • Provide guidance/best practices for site testing w/ IE Mode and answering customer queries
    • Provide guidance on rollout of IE Restrictions and answer customer queries
    • Troubleshooting, suggesting fixes, supporting, and fixing issues in customer apps using IE mode in Edge browser
    • Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
    • Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
    • Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Senior Engineer.
    • Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
    • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
    • Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
    Application Support Engineer Requirements:
    • A bachelors degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.
    • Demonstrable experience as an application support engineer in a related field.
    • Advanced knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, such as PowerShell, C++, JavaScript, Python, and Ruby.
    • Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
    • Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
    • Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
    • Knowledge of Advanced Encryption Standards (AES).
    • Ability to keep up with innovation in application design.
    • Exceptional communication skills.
    • Incident and problem solving related to application.
