Job Description

  • We are looking for Senior hands on Data specialist to lead data strategy across BCMA and ICG business area.
Job Background/Context:
  • Looking for resource with 10+ years of SME level of experience in Data Analytics, with minimum 5 years of experience in service oriented architecture with huge emphasis on data design and quality
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead/independently design and drive implementation of scalable solutions across ISG Client Tech business functions by partnering with stakeholders from ICG and BCMA on DW, Big Data and analytics initiatives
  • Conducts business process and preliminary cost/benefits analysis in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives
  • Ability to translate proposition requirements into clear, concise process design specifications
  • Interaction with stakeholders across products for platform onboarding, data exchanges and defining standards
  • Data strategy initiatives related to design, metadata management, migration to Big Data, and data quality/monitoring
  • Communication skills are PARAMOUNT - must be able to liaise with, present to and, where necessary, challenge stakeholders at all levels this includes workshops/meetings with Global Business & IT teams
  • Analyze and understand business operations strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities for automating processes and functions
  • Work well with others on the team to design and maintain corporate data solutions, meet project milestones, manage client satisfaction and mentor others on the team

, Qualifications:Knowledge/Experience:
  • Min. 10 years of design and implementation of advanced and scalable data solutions in the area of Big Data, RDBMS and Data Lake
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DaaS (Data as a Service) platforms related to Big Data, RDBMS (OraaS, MSaaS) and Data Lake
  • Extensive experience in data warehousing, dimensional data modeling, OLAP (RDBMS and Big Data), data mining, visualization, and data integration/transformation
  • Data modelling (logical and physical), Data flow design/ETL architecture, Metadata management, QA & Deployment Strategy, and exposure to support processes
  • Reporting architecture and OLAP cube design
  • Data Security aspects
Technology/Tools Experience:
  • Big Data: Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark/Impala) and MongoDb
  • At least one reporting tool (MSTR, SSRS, Qlik, Cognos)
  • At least one RDBMS such as SQL Server/Oracle/Netezza/etc
  • Must be able to design database schema for reports and cubes with huge emphasis on partition strategies and archival
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize, analyze, and improve database SQL performance
Good to have:
  • Exposure to ELK and Neo4j
  • Experience working with Java Script

  • Act as a change agent to drive innovation
Qualifications:
  • Graduate/Postgraduate with computer Science/Information Technology
