Asociate Project Manager, TechnicalPosting Location : Location IN-PunePosting date 2 days ago(9/30/2021 10:17 AM)Job ID 89933 Workday ID R-016522 Job summary The Red Hat Customer Content Services is looking for an organized and energetic Associate Project Manager to help manage the delivery of the content strategies with our global team of technical writers in Pune, India. In this role, youll partner with the content strategy and technical writing teams to put into motion comprehensive content plans that encompass feedback from a broad range of stakeholders. Product release cycles are fast paced, and increasingly require solution based content to be created across product lines. As the Associate Project Manager, you ll play a critical role in the seamless delivery of content plans through resource allocation, capacity planning, status reporting, and problem solving. Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with content strategist and writers to divide the content strategy into deliverable tasks and ensure that all tasks have owners
  • Determine writing schedules based on resource availability of the writing teams and the prioritization of requirements by the content strategist
  • Resolve blockers and solve other problems that arise during content development to ensure writing is completed on schedule
  • Monitor bug reporting systems for documentation and product bugs that affect content and work with content strategist and writers to schedule their resolution
  • Report on and communicate about writing schedule status to Content Strategist and Customer Content Services (CCS)
  • Document workflows and processes
Required skills
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience in business, information technology, technical communications, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a role delivering technology-related services or products like technical writing or project management in the software industry
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of geographically and functionally diverse teams, tracking capacity, status, change requests, and blockers
  • Outstanding communication skills in different mediums (verbal, written, in person and remote), including ability to set and negotiate expectations
  • Experience with modular or topic-based documentation, especially converting to topic-based content from traditional book models
  • Proven record of consistently demonstrating qualities of diplomacy, problem solving, and decisiveness within a matrixed and consensus-driven environment
  • Experience with agile and comfort with rapid iteration and fast delivery
  • Experience with version control systems; experience and comfort with Git is a big plus
  • Demonstrated success taking accountability for project fulfillment and completion
The following are considered a plus:
  • Familiarity with Red Hats enterprise solutions portfolio and open source software business models
  • Previous project management experience or certification like Certified Scrum Master, PRINCE2, or PMBOK
