Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager Location: PuneThe role is within the Network Management s Account Management team, supporting the Global NWM team in the opening of accounts at our external Agent Bank Network and other associated functions such as. Account Opening / Closing Client Money Reporting Reconciliations Agent Bank Due Diligence POA Execution All these functions have a Regulatory / Compliance aspect associated to it, failing to get them completed may lead to regulatory / compliance issues both internally and with the regulators such as the FCA / MAS etc.What will you be doing o Account Management - Ensure all standard External Agent account openings / closing and amendments requested through the Barclays External Account Request workflow tool are completed in a timely manner, in accordance to the procedures and to a high standard. Ensure your Manager is aware of any issues o Account Dormancy Conduct regular dormant account reviews in line with the Dormant Account Policy, in order to keep the population of accounts at a manageable level, and helping to reduce unnecessary costs o Reconciliation and Control Various reconciliations are performed in order ensure that controls are maintained and to create transparency. Ensure the team own and investigate breaks on the reconciliations between Barclays External account repository v Street, SDS v sub ledger recs and any other account management related reconciliations, providing regular updates to Management and raising any issues in a timely manner o Query Management The NWM team uses a case Management tool for all queries. Ensure all queries relating to the account management and reconciliation functions are acted upon through to resolution in a timely and professional manner, ensuring any issues are escalated to Management o Procedures Library Manage the procedure documentation and ensure that the procedures are reviewed and signed off by the owner on an annual basisWhat we re looking for:Bachelors degree in commerce/accounting Confident Organised and able to prioritise High personal standard of ethics, integrity and commitment in dealing with colleagues and clientSkills that will help you in the role:Strong team skills Strong communication skills Fast learnerWhere will you be working PuneBe More at Barclays At Barclays, each day is about being more as a professional, and as a person.
