Job Description

DescriptionAs a qualified Technical Service Desk Support Engineer, you will work with the ESO Manager based in the Commercial Operations Unit. You and your team will offer 24/7/365 Enterprise support by providing a highly professional first level support and triage of incidents to the Enterprise customers.Job Responsibility

  • You will demonstrate exceptional customer focus and an understanding of a customer s needs
  • You will have the ability to prioritise incidents as per the ESO Incident Management Process Priority Matrix.
  • You will investigate, progress and follow up on the tickets raised on fixed line products like Cisco SD-WAN, MPLS-VPNs, ILL and DSL leased lines.
  • You will be responsible for resolving the tickets by providing technical solutions through logging into devices remotely and liaising with 3rd party vendors, OLOs
  • You will communicate with customers of a technical nature in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication over customer calls and emails
  • You will act as an authority on the Vodafone ECS Product Portfolio
  • You will log faults with upstream carriers and vendors
  • You will clearly raise incidents and problems internally within Vodafone and with external parties where required.
  • You will interpret trends in incidents, problems and network behaviour and communicate this trend to other areas.
  • You will own and handle incidents, service requests and problems to resolution.
  • You will perform proactive monitoring of the network
Required
  • Must have an engineering degree (BE/BTech) preferably in electronics and telecommunication
  • CCNA/Junos Certification and/or 2 years experience within a similar support role with a good technical knowledge of network architecture including networks, services and applications specifically WAN, LAN architectures. Basic knowledge of MPLS-VPN, routing protocols, redundancy protocols like HSRP, VRRP
  • Hands-on experience in understanding and configuration of Cisco, Juniper devices (LAN, WAN and Wifi)
  • Experience of network management applications
  • Woking knowledge in Network monitoring tools like Cisco Prime, Service Navigator
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Putty/NMS
