Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • The Development Lead oversees development resources in a small, highly focused team, responsible for delivering components in systems utilizing Big Data technology.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems leveraging cloud computing technologies like Microsoft Azure.
  • Core Java microservice experience: building business logic layers and back-end systems for high-volume pipelines
  • Experience with Spark and Scala (Must have Spark streaming)
  • Experience with high-speed messaging frameworks and streaming (Kafka, Akka, reactive)
  • Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, TravisCI, Jira) and methodologies (Lean, Agile, Scrum, Test Driven Development)
  • Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL, and processing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Current experience using Java development, SQL Database systems, and Apache products
  • Experience with GoLang a plus
  • Experience in multiple of: Big Data stack in Azure, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Data Bricks, building scalable data pipeline.
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.
  • Project Management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.

Skills Experience :

  • Any IT graduate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT with at least the last 4 years into Technical Project Management.
  • Experience in Big Data Architecture, tools, and technologies.
  • Experience leading teams and interfacing with stakeholders across projects in technical and functional areas.
  • Highly interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication customer handling skills, team player and innovator.
