In this role, you will administer our BI reporting ecosystem, including but not limited to, multi-environment reporting and extract, transform, load (ETL) architectures, including but not limited to, Informatica Cloud, PDI, Tableau, and Business Objects R4, supported by AWS Redshift, AWS S3, and AWS DW Services. Youll be part of the Data Management Services Team which takes care of end-to-end BI platform services. You ll provide support to the business users in a 24x7 model and assist them with issues related to ETL and BI reporting. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be working in an environment which is influenced by open source values and products. You ll get an opportunity to learn the complete stack of the BI ecosystem. Youll also contribute to the teams capabilities and deliverables by demonstrating technical competence, personal initiative, creativity, learning, sharing, and teamwork while collaborating with local and remote team members as well as external groups.Primary job responsibilities

  • Perform configuration and tests to SAP business objects
  • Administer and supervise configuration of SAP business objects
  • Develop various use cases and provide functional specifications for teams and individuals
  • Documents all business objects, data, and metadata and supervises security of all areas
  • Coordinate with various departments and configure all ETL extractors as per SAP requirement
  • Coordinate with various departments and develop multidimensional data models
  • Assist all SAP Business Objects installations, upgrades, configurations, and automation and provide support to the BI team
  • Provide support to SAP business objects and provide appropriate change management controls
  • Design universe on SAP BI and prepare ad hoc reports for metadata reporting
  • Prepare reports in line with requirements
  • Ensure compliance to all business objects and best practices
  • Analyze all information from end users and prepare reports with help of various software
  • Coordinate with solutions architects and prepare appropriate architecture for business objects
  • Work with the user community and develop various functional specifications for development
  • Evaluate all data from end users and prepare appropriate dashboards
  • Support and maintain the BusinessObjects servers, services, and application suite
  • Monitor and maintain uptime of BI Platform
  • Administer security settings on BI Platform
  • Respond and resolve customer issues within specified service level agreement (SLA)
  • Work in shifts in a 24x7 model
  • Working with users on issues related to failed reports, dashboards, and report schedules
  • Migrate and maintain metadata (Code, BO universes and reports, and Tableau) within layered deployments including dev, test, stage, and production
Required skills
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP Business Objects administration or Tableau administration
  • Open to learning new technologies quickly with minimum guidance
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, and databases like AWS Redshift, Aurora, Spectrum and, Athena
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of any programming or Machine Learning language is a big plus
The following will be considered a plus:
  • Red Hat Certified professionals
  • Experience with combination of SAS VA and Business Objects
