Primary Purpose of Job: Contribute to the ongoing growth of STANTEC ResourceNet Private India Ltd by providing technical support in water/wastewater treatment plants and stormwater drainage, pipeline engineering and pumping station designs Support project managers/team leader by providing technical support to ensure that project outcomes in terms of budget, schedule, technical and quality standards, meet both the client and STANTEC expectations. Key Accountabilities: o Treatment Plant design/layouts o Pipeline Design o Hydraulics, o Optioneering, o Outline design, o Prepare technical reports/ drawing, o Need to work off- hours for client co- ordination: Occasionally o Need to travel off- shore for training/on- site work: Occasionally Key responsibilities o Technically deliver the design of treatment plants, hydraulic, pipework independently. o Work in collaboration with Discipline lead, Project lead and other discipline leads and engineers, designers. o Ensure the use of consistent design standards and best practices on projects in line with the technical direction of the discipline o Developing excellence by ensuring project efficiencies are achieved. o Ensure that the quality programs, appropriate design procedures and systems are followed.
Qualifications
Person specification o Professionally qualified Engineer, MEng or BEng (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with recent experience in water/wastewater infrastructure and treatment plant design, experienced in the design of pump stations, pipelines and treatment plants. o 8+ years of relevant experience. o At least 5 years of experience working on and managing Civil Engineering design projects. o Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to work in collaborative multi- discipline engineering environment o Strong verbal and written communication skills. o Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills. o Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, technical specialist and manage interfaces across the regions. o Have excellent data manipulation abilities (MS Excel/MS Access database type packages) o Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/Civil3D preferred
