Job Description

The position will be a member of Varian Worldwide Enterprise Application Solutions team located in Pune India, GA, and the primary function of the position is to support Varian worldwide Contract Lifecycle Management solution.

The ideal candidate will be a strong Apttus/Salesforce System Analyst/ Administrator with a good understanding of the Apttus/Salesforce development platform and Contract lifecycle management process. The primary responsibilities will be to capture, document, and verify the business requirements from the business leads, project stakeholders and end users and be able to design, manage, and execute the business requirements on the Apttus/Salesforce Platform. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting Varian contract stakeholders (Procurement, Sales operation, finance, legal and compliance, etc) by providing Apttus/Salesforce expertise and guidance.

Adhere to Varian s process in managing the changes through the technical landscape

  • Communicate/Collaborate with other team members on implementing solutions that require Apex Language, Classes, Workflow, Triggers/Controllers or Visual Force Pages and integration with SAP.
  • Manage small to medium size project by using either the waterfall methodology or agile scrum methodology
  • Pro-actively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in existing systems and Salesforce.com setup
  • Work closely with business support team and internal VIT teams to understand and analyze business processes and integration within the business unit
  • Support the design, implementation, and rollout of Salesforce Application
  • Manage the software testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating actual software testing;
  • Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements;
  • Train new and existing users on how to use database applications;

Keep application users informed about system functionality and enhancements.

Job Requirements

  • BS Degree, background in Computer Science
  • 4+ years of strong technical and working knowledge with Salesforce & Apttus
  • Salesforce certification 201 or 401 is required and Advanced Administrator (301) preferred
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of contract lifecycle operation, including buy side contracts and sell side contracts, payment, compliance and enforce the best practices
  • Working knowledge of project management skill; good understanding of Agile project management methodology as well as Waterfall project management methodology
  • Plus: Exposure to SAP ERP application, especially in the SAP s Finance and Vendor Maser Management area
  • Strong organizational skills, quick responsiveness, and act with a sense of urgency
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, data modeling and database schemas, including basic knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to effectively communicate and resolve technical issues at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to toggle between tactical execution and strategic planning
  • Proficient in custom objects, workflow and validation rules, email templates, formulas, dashboards & reporting, Sandbox-to-Production processes
  • Knowledge of Apex (Language, Trigger, Class, Web Service), Visual Force (Page, Component, Controllers), SOQL highly preferred
