Job Description

Date:07-Sep-2021Location:Pune, IndiaCompany:Tata CommunicationsRoles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the equipments operation and maintenance (Fault, configuration, alarm, performance and security) or network components to drive network efficiency and availability of an IP Network.
  • Ensure efficient & effective technical customer service as per SLAs. Manage Technical Support Center (helpdesk) and operations of escalation desk/tickets for all NOC & SOC issues.
  • Maintain quality standards to achieve optimal levels of operation and KPI targets.
  • Tracks and monitor network traffic and performance to ensure minimal interruption to network switches.
  • Ensure adequate monitoring of various network aspects panning across different service and ensuring quick and appropriate resolution of network issues.
  • Monitor vendor performance, particularly critical incidents, delayed cases, non-adherence to SLA, etc. Lead implementation for any new network updates, Planned Activities and change Management.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in IP Network Operations
  • LTE/GSM network operations experience.
  • IoT Operations knowledge
  • VPN (Fortigate, Cloud VPN, OpenVPN) monitoring, management of users, troubleshooting of connectivity issues
  • Terraform for infrastructure deployments
  • Ansible playbooks for standard roll outs and upgrades
  • Vcenter, VMs, PowerCli, automation
  • Jenkins jobs for standard support tasks, automation
  • Prometheus/Grafana/Nagios refinement of dashboards based on realtime lessons learned, monitoring
  • Ssh, Bash, Ubuntu, networking, GCP, vpcs, authentication
  • json/yaml/python
  • Kafka, Rabbitmq, Postgres, optimization
  • Good Understanding of NB-IOT with any operational knowledge in this area
  • Working knowledge about Network Function Virtualization and related areas.
  • Operational experience with Linux, VMWare, Kubernetes, Docker environments
  • Familiarity with Bash scripts, Python, Java/JSON, XML etc. a big plus
  • Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders for Client.
