Job Description

*Role: As a Data Science Manager, you will oversee the work of Data Scientists within your team for successful client delivery. While strong technical skills experience is needed to manage team members and engage with client, this will be a primary people-management position, and candidate should be fascinated by that aspect of the job.Xoriant will support the manager to fulfil its management responsibilities through industry-standard professional trainings, best practices, and programs and initiatives for new managers.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the data science manager for a team of 6-8 Data Scientists.
  • Work with client, account teams, and your team members to identify client needs, including project scoping, and sprint planning.
  • Oversee the technical quality of your team s work and ensure that it adheres to Xoriant s expectations for excellence.
  • Coordinate with the leaders of other data science teams in Xoriant and customer teams to ensure that customer needs are being met.
  • Coordinate with customer to support PoCs and scaling team for additional requirements, build team structure for project delivery.
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members and ensuring that project work matches their career development aspirations as possible.
  • Support internal Xoriant teams with their Data Science needs as necessary.
  • Submit project status reports with stake holders highlighting milestones, anticipated risks and mitigation plans.
Mandatory Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience with Python.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI and ML-based application development.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer facing and managing a large team of Data Scientists.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience of project management with Agile methodology and application of any data science process including CRISP-DM, IBM ASUM, Microsoft Team.
  • Experience of end-to-end data science project delivery from exploration to deployment.
  • Experience of building data pipeline from data ingestion to data processing.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization in Python/Tableau.
  • Understanding of relational data structures and SQL
  • Experience with MLOps, cloud infrastructures will be an added advantage.
