Job Description

DescriptionThe IT Development Specialist focuses upon the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards. The IT Development Specialist delivers development of programme logic for new applications / products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the Senior IT Development Manager of the Head of Technology. #_VOISSF ID : 104166Job ResponsibilityExperience : 5 to 8 yearsResponsibilities

  • Responsible for communications testing across Decisioning, including an appreciation of data in and out of the system (and respective stubbing of data according to valid assumptions where constrained in test systems);
  • Designs and executes independent functional tests for new logic and decision strategies in Always on Marketing (AoM) and interfaces into and out of AoM;
  • Designs and runs pre-release QA reports for the Always on Operations Product Owner and squad (especially for new Strategies);
  • Flags any new data needs and performance expectations within Development and Test/Sim environments;
  • Ensures quality is maintained within the operational environments and tracks data hygiene, including syntax (expected values, missing data etc.) and semantics (value distributions);
  • Responsible for change (including quality) through the system, from agreement through to production release;
  • Works closely with the Product Owner, tracking release progress, escalating any blockers or dependencies not already identified to the Product Owner, updating the release/sprint schedule accordingly;
  • Issues release communications when deploying changes to decision logic, ensuring all stakeholders are in the loop and aligned;
  • Utilises Always on Marketing (AoM) Revision Management to orchestrate and simplify this process;
  • Maintains any sprint (Agile) back log.
