*AS THE DIRECTOR OF Software Development & Services, YOU WILL: Work with E&P Software executive management and the local EEEC management team to build a strategy and execution plan to source, recruit, onboard and retain, top tier software development, QA, Documentation, Geoscience, DevOps and other required resources Build a software development culture that takes initiative and ownership of continuous improvement in SW engineering practices and introduces new emerging SW engineering practices for quality, performance, reliability and scalability Work closely with subject matter experts in other locations to build local expertise in the assigned domains and strive to progressively take on full responsibilities for the applications Understand the strategic needs and direction of the business unit and take leadership in aligning the Pune team to fully participate in achieving the larger objectives of SYSS and Automation Solution Business Work with the E&P Software R&D leadership to run the team as an integral part of the global development team Work with the local management team, BU executives and SYSS management team to change the model from an outsourcing model to a development center at par with other development locations, *REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering with experience in R&D management in software product development or in Product Management 3 - 5 years of experience in a leadership position at a captive application development center for an MNC in India 10 years of experience in Software Development area Strong customer service attitude and capabilities to coordinate cross-functional teams and business functions. Proven experience in project planning and project management, with excellent track record of project execution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work independently and to deal with ambiguity.
