  • Relevant tertiary qualification and / or professional experience in software development, testing.
  • 3.5 to 5 years of commercial software development experience. A significant portion of which should have been involved in .Net web development.
Skills
  • Web UI skills using JavaScript, ASP.NET.
  • WCF.
  • Rich web application development using frameworks such as MS AJAX JavaScript framework.
  • Strong object-oriented concepts.
  • C# experience developing back end services.
  • SQL programming for Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Automated testing, eg use of NUnit.
  • IIS skills and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SVN or GIT.
  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.;
  • Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and / or professional experience in software development, testing.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills.
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed.

  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.
  • Interacts with product managers/Software delivery managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
