Job Description

nullIn this role, you have the opportunity todefine the structure of the subsystem that is to be developed, based upon customer requirements/product specifications and technology trends. He/She defines the way in which the subsystem has to be divided into separate components and/or modules.As an Electrical Architect you also formulates the technical roadmap for his/her subsystem, conducts PRP studies and/or innovation studies, and leads the introduction of new technologiesThe Electrical Architect is technically responsible for the correct functioning of the integrated subsystemsYou are responsible for

  • the creation of the electrical architecture in modular, easy to maintain and extendible (components and modules) and re-usable
  • The Electrical architect would ensure that the proposed architecture would have the safety and reliability features build in
  • Formulates the technical roadmap, relevant for his/her subsystem considering technologies, application trends, conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
  • Technically responsible for the subsystem in (sub-) projects. Delegate, control and verify that the RF electronics is build according to his/her architecture. Verifies that the integration is according to the architecture
  • Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular, easy-to-maintain electronics that meets the product specification
  • Guides the Electrical Engineers & Designers in the design and implementation of the parts of a subsystem
  • Participates in the RF Coil architecture definition and in the Product Requirement Specification; advises the System Architect regarding choices of what must be achieved in hardware and what in software (multidisciplinary) and advises on make-or-buy decisions
  • Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area. Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress
  • Has expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering. Keeps it up-to-date and propagates it, both internal and external
  • Advises on internal development or outsourcing
  • Managing R&D relationships with Engineering service suppliers
  • Supervising design activities at the design partner, participating in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g. FMEA) and monitoring (technical) progress and technical risk mitigation
You are a part ofLCM team for RF RC coils Pune under Diagnostics imaging business, having hands on experience on BOM savings, reverse engineering, value engineering projects, global product & parts transfers etc.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • M.Tech /B.E/B.Tech Electronics engineering
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in design & development (one end to end Medical device esp. in RF coils development experience is preferred) of system/subsystem
  • Support upgrading coils and other products for regulatory compliance Demonstrate good design practices for DfM, DfC (Cost), and DfR (Reliability) Model proposed coil designs using various software tools.
  • Modeling tools may include NEC, PSPICE, Fast Henry, or internally developed modeling tools, CAD Layout packages i.e. Altium-Protel Build prototypes and prove design feasibility, functionality and performance superiority over competitive solutions.
  • Ensure that customer feedback is recorded and incorporated into the design and feasibly executed. (i.e. design for operator convenience, FOV, SNR, uniformity, etc.)
  • Design and documentation of the development for manufacturability (i.e. drawings, schematics, experiments, changes, test results, data, PCB layout etc.) Generate failure modes and effects analysis, complete set of engineering drawings as per INVIVO guidelines, manufacturing instructions, and technical input to the operator s manual.
  • Exposure to International Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, CFR, MDD, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc.
  • Experience in IEC 61010-1, IEC 60601-1, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 62368-1 Safety standards
  • Experience in IEC EN 61326, FCC 15 EMC Standards
  • Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
  • Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
  • Be structured and self-organized, Excellent communication skills
  • Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
  • Quality mindset in design and documentation
  • Lateral thinker with bird s eye view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problems
  • Is capable to introduce new technologies and efficiency improvements on group level (change management)
  • Exposure to work on global environment, ability to communicate on different levels, good listener, coach and guide project team, with good presentation skills
