nullIn this role, you have the opportunity for design, development and supplier co-ordination on various programs spanning across functions within Philips to deliver a complete product development for the business.

• The Electrical Designer works on the structure of the subsystem that is to be developed, based upon customer requirements/product specifications and technology trends. He works on the way in which the subsystem has to be divided into separate components and/or modules
• The Electrical Designer also executes the technical roadmap for the subsystem, conducts PRP studies and/or innovation studies, and leads the introduction of new technologies
• Jobholder comes to an understanding with software development concerning the hardware/mechanical and software interfaces and other development architects concerning interfaces
• By means of planned reviews he/she ensures - from technical point of view - that the efforts of the individual developers remain focused on properly functioning subsystems
• The Electrical Designer is technically responsible for the correct functioning of the integrated subsystems

You are responsible for:

• Responsible for working on electrical architecture in modular, easy to maintain and extendible (components and modules) and re-usable
• The Electrical Designer would ensure that the proposed architecture would have the safety and reliability features build in
• The Electrical Designer is responsible for ensuring that architecture meets the performance criteria
• Executes the technical roadmap, relevant for the subsystem considering technologies, application trends, conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
• Technically responsible for the subsystem in (sub-) projects. Delegate, control and verify that the electronics is build according to the architecture. Verifies that the integration is according to the architecture
• Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular, easy-to-maintain electronics that meets the product specification
• Guides the Electrical Engineers in the design and implementation of the parts of a subsystem
• Determines required subsystem interface (hardware/software) in close consultation with software experts
• Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area. Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress
• Has expertise in design techniques, application domain and engineering. Keeps it up-to-date and propagates it, both internal and external
• Advises on internal development or outsourcing
• Supervising design activities at the design partner, participating in design reviews and risk assessments (e.g. FMEA) and monitoring (technical) progress and technical risk mitigation
• Networks with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking, new technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the group
• Ability to create an environment to ensure maximized engagement of the department employees
• Is abreast of / participates in standards identification responsible for designing
• Formulates improvements within his/her own domain of expertise such as technical and process improvements etc.
• Acts in line with departmental and project processes (QMS)

You are a part of Mechatronics Team in R&D reporting directly to Head - Mechatronics, having global headquarter of Mobile Surgery based out of Pune. • Master/Bachelor in in Electronics/Electrical engineering with 8 to 12 years of experience
• Expert in Power Electronics and High Voltage measurement design.
• Experience and knowledge of IT/Medical equipment design and compliance
• Hands on experience in Digital, Analog, Mixed signal design and Experience in designing and testing of Cable Harness
• Knowledge of Value Addition and Value Engineering
• Peripheral interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
• Exposure to International Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, CFR, MDD, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc.
• Experience in IEC 61010-1, IEC 60601-1, IEC 60950-1 and IEC 62368-1 Safety standards
• Experience in IEC EN 61326, FCC 15 EMC Standards
• Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
• Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
• Be structured and self-organized, Excellent communication skills
• Team player, leadership skills and drive for results
• Quality mindset in design and documentation
• Lateral thinker with bird s eye view, capable of finding an appropriate solution to complex problems.
• Is capable to introduce new technologies and efficiency improvements on group level (change management)
