Job Description

Design, test, support and debug new electronic control system products with other engineers and contribute subject matter and technical expertise to develop products used in Residential, Commercial, Golf and Agriculture Irrigation

Duties Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, debug, document and implement complex embedded solutions.
  • Selecting and using the most appropriate and efficient technologies for a particular application.
  • Interreact with teams in multiple locations.
  • Developing products within a team environment.

Job Dimensions

  • Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for specialized field. Uses that knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.

Specifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering, and 4 + years experience in software development.

Technology Experience and Capabilities:

  • Able to design firmware in C, C++.
  • experienced programming real-time embedded hardware for communication protocols such as Ethernet (TCP/IP), Wifi, Bluetooth, USB and CAN for connected, IoT products.
  • Knowledge of implementing embedded and IoT cloud encrypted communications, SSL/TLS.
  • Knowledge of secure cryptography, storage of keys, certificates and in-system data including authenticated device pairing.
  • Experience of embedded Real Time Operating systems (RTOS), like uC/OS2, FreeRToS, RTX and its applications.
  • Understanding and experience using structured programming techniques.
  • Extensive experience with Microchip, Atmel, and ARM or similar 8,16 and 32 bit microprocessors and/or microcontrollers.
  • Extensive experience with in-circuit debuggers and emulators, including but not limited to Microchip MPLAB X, JTAG, and IAR.
  • Experience refactoring existing code to meet requirements for expandability and maintainability.
  • The ability to read schematics and understand digital circuits.
  • Communicates easily at the technical and non-technical level.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of basic mobile App and/or PC programming experience for development and testing purposes to support Ethernet, Wifi, Bluetooth USB and CAN.
