What you will doDesign and improve the existing Airside products for better efficiency, performance, process efficiency, cost reduction by applying the knowledge about technology, material and manufacturing methods Main responsibilities:Engineering support on Sustaining projects that includeso Interpret ECR and understand the changes, impact and work independently o Initiate ECR while working with engineering and manufacturing teamo Initiate NPI projects for Grilles, Registers, Diffusers, VAV box and terminal units.o Interpret MRP/SAP request and work independently in MACPAC/SAPIdentify opportunities in automationo Solidworks (VBA) to configure and automate the master geometry modelso CAD drawing automation - DriveworksDevelop design concepts using CAD software (SolidWorks) as required by manufacturing groupsProduce detailed, final drawings, 3D models and specifications to produce design specifications, including parts lists and costingsCoordinate with analysis team for testing the design concept by computerized modelling or physical hands-on testing of modelsResearching materials, processes or market requirementsStudy of existing products and identification of cost reduction and performance improvement opportunitiesEvaluate competitive products for benchmarkingReview designs for simplificationPerform feasibility studyAssess possibility of changes in design, material & process for cost reduction and performance improvementDevelop and validate conceptual design to achieve performance and cost targetGenerate report to track, review and document the projects Supporting responsibilitiesWork with product teardown team for product analysisHow you will do itKey performance indicators:1. Process Compliance: As per defined BSC metricsWhat we look forRequiredQualification:Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or equivalent is requiredExperience:Minimum 6 years of experience as a product designer from HVAC equipment industryKnowledge, skills, and abilities required:KNOWLEDGE:A high degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approachKnowledge of HVAC products: Grills, Registers, Diffuser, Fan coil unit, VAV, Chilled beam, Water coils, AHU, RTU etc.Knowledge of Solid Works 2018 (Modeling, Drawing, Handling Design table).Knowledge about Excel automation with formulation.Knowledge about Sheet metal basics.Good understanding of MRP process.SKILLS:Key skills: Experience in 3D CAD software Solid works,Drive Works, Python, SAP Ability to work cross functionally, demonstrating strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication,
