Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting directly and indirectly in building a high performing tech team
  • Design & Develop components to create a highly optimized, performance driven, scalable and sustaining Open Source platform.
  • Develop REST APIs on top of a microservices platform and facilitate UI integration.
  • Build fast transactional systems with critical E-Commerce workflows.
  • Expected to design complete backend projects by understanding the business rules and minimizing the hardware cost.
  • Work closely with the business, product, design and the data teams.
  • Help execute effective engineering processes and policies.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment and adapt to rapidly changing business rules and able to build applications iteratively.

  • 7-9 years of product development experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in managing a team of 4-5 employees.
  • Prior hands-on experience in building and scaling a Python/Java based micro services platform is required.
  • RDBMS - MySQL/Oracle DB systems knowledge is required.
  • NoSQL - Experience with MongDB,DynamoDB or any other NoSQL framework is desired.
  • Knowledge of NGNIX/Apache server internals and configuration is required.
  • Experience with cloud platform such as AWS is desired.(EC2, S3, CDN and Load balancers (ELB)) is desired.
  • Software development experience of building microservices in Java, Python, Golang etc. is required.
  • Experience in building REST API based microservices is required.
  • Should understand HTTP and networking basics like DNS, Web Servers, Application servers and the flow of data on the internet.
  • HTML, CSS, Java Script and front end frameworks such as Angular JS will be an add-on
