Job Description

Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.About the teamThe Legal Accounting team is a newly created group supporting various teams such as FIS Tax, Treasury, and Statutory Accounting. The primary role of this team will be the monitoring and review of current year financials by legal entity. The manager will monitor and supervise the work and collaborate closely with the team.What you will be doing

  • Lead a team who is responsible for monitoring and analyzing balance sheet and income statement variances by legal entity.
  • Review various analysis reports and detailed schedules to be submitted to corporate/other stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Meets with organizational unit/department managers to discuss legal entity variances and establish process for effective and timely communication.
  • Review proper accounting treatment for various non-recurring intercompany transactions such as dividends paid, dividends received, capital contributions, etc.
  • Identify and proactively resolve issues that could result in financial misstatements and classification errors at a legal entity level.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting, for legal entity rationalization efforts and other special projects.
  • Manage various ad hoc and regular queries.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of accounting experience which includes 2-3 years in STAT Reporting
  • Prior experience of managing 5-10 people
  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
  • Analytical and statistical examination skills
  • Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
  • Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
