Global Partner Alliance Solutions ArchitectPosting Location : Location Remote US WAPosting date 23 hours ago(1/27/2021 5:14 AM)Job ID 83894 Category PreSales, Solution Architecture, Systems Engineering Remote base US-WA-Seattle Job summary The Red Hat Global Strategic Alliances (GSA) team is looking for a Global Partner Alliance Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will grow our technical footprint with critical strategic partners, including cloud service providers like Microsoft or Google, hardware system partners like Dell-EMC or Intel, and key global independent software vendors (ISVs). You will run long-term technical relationships with your top alliances. You will be responsible for one or perhaps two global alliance partners. Your day-to-day work partner will be the global alliance business development director for your partners. You will grow Red Hat s technical footprint with partners and develop go-to-market plays that Red Hat and the partners will take to market worldwide. You will build joint partner-led solutions, integrate our technologies with the partners, technically enable, and go to market with these global partners. You ll help identify specific opportunities where Red Hat and our partners can jointly enter an underserved market. As a Global Partner Alliance Solutions Architect, you will provide technical guidance, including analyst research, competitive assessment, and guidance for partners and regional channel teams to make an impact in the field. While this position requires a technical background, your day-to-day work will focus on helping partners solve business problems, applying our technology as applicable. This role should ideally be based in Raleigh, NC, Westford, MA, or the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, but it can also be based anywhere in North America (NA) near a major airport. Primary job responsibilities

  • Assist with the definition of market problems and opportunities for Red Hat s technologies to make an impact, especially while working with Red Hats partners
  • Collaborate closely with a team comprised of business development, partner engineering, and partner market strategists to recruit and go to market with strategic partners critical to Red Hats future success
  • Conduct regular demonstrations of technologies and offerings to partners based on the go-to-market strategy
  • Serve as a subject matter expert backstop to our regional counterparts as they provide timely and accurate technical responses to partners as they work to evaluate and scale in the market
  • Actively engage and support partners in technical evaluations of offerings in service of potential joint solutions
  • Establish go-to-market momentum by highlighting joint solutions to partner sales, presales, and marketing teams worldwide
  • Develop and maintain tools to support the global Strategic Alliances business development teams, including demonstrations and presentation materials
  • Contribute to building best practices among peers in the Alliances, Sales, and Engineering teams
  • Coordinate with Red Hat s regional teams outside of NA, enabling them to achieve their goals for solutions created by the global team
Required skills
  • 8+ years of experience working in a technical presales, partner SA, support, or consulting role
  • Solid experience working either as an enterprise architect or consultant deploying multiple enterprise technologies, e.g., operating systems, middleware, cloud, and virtualization
  • Knowledge of leading tools focused on DevOps or automation strategies like Red Hat Ansible Automation, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or an equivalent in the space
  • Solid Linux system administration skills; Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT)-level Linux skills or higher are a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and trying to define new market spaces
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Solid presentation or public speaking skills
  • Great customer service skills and a desire to enable users to be successful
  • Positive attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Thorough knowledge of (including advanced troubleshooting skills in) Linux; any distribution other than Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is a plus
  • Knowledge of and passion for open source technologies and community-based development
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
