What will you be doing
  • Creating a technical solution in keeping with group strategy that provides a solution for customer and colleagues.
  • Becoming the technology expert to whom that business area trusts to realise their aspirations as to how they can best drive their business forward in helping our customers.
  • You will challenge the status quo; things don t change by themselves, so new thinking is welcomed and applauded. We need you to provide a fresh perspective that not only protects the brand but also re-energises Barclays as a bank with technology at its heart.
  • You will continuously collaborate with teams of like-minded architects, encouraging each other to find the right technology solutions for the business areas
What we re looking for:
  • Technology design either at application or infrastructure level that enables you to resolve complex business issues with a simple and cost effective technology based solution.
  • Experience of working with various stakeholders to influence their thinking about what is possible through technology innovation.
  • The ability to exhibit deep technical understanding conveyed through crisp solution design walkthroughs.
  • The ability to work in a team or independently.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • AWS Solution Architect certification foundation level or higher e.g. Associate level, is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working with service management teams or an understanding of ITIL principles.
  • Application/Infrastructure/Enterprise Architect training and certification, e.g. TOGAF.
  • Exposure to API design strategies both for internal and external customer usage
  • Knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by financial service providers.
  • Expertise in at least one or more technologies used by the bank, specifically Salesforce or Cloud technology.
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
Where will you be working
  • Pune
*Barclays recently announced the creation of a new world-class campus at Gera Commerzone located in Kharadi. All Pune based roles will eventually start to move to this new campus starting September 2019. In the run up to that, during the course of 2018, there may be transitory movements of some roles to other temporary sites.
