• In this position the incumbent will be responsible to initiate and lead development IOT solution for hydraulics business products to realize connected Eaton products based on the emerging trends platform as a service or software as a service; identify market opportunities, evaluate and develop new technologies, develop business cases, lead Integrated project teams, lead customer relationships, present ideas and projects to business leaders and external customers. Profound technical leadership and a potential for business acumen is required to be successful in this position
• Lead solution architect is expected to have strong understanding of IIOT systems, computational systems viz. edge/cloud, connvectivity solutions, big data analytics, cloud services and edge computing techniques. He/She is expected to be abrest with the industry trends i.e. predictive maintenance, intelligent systems, human machine interaction, diagnostics & prognostics and identifies opportunities in response to the industry needs keeping in view organization s vision & mission.
• He/ She will also be responsible to reach out to external bodies to fill these gaps as needed.
• He/ She should have the capability to coordinate with global program teams by working collaboratively with broader Advanced Technology team as well as product engineering teams.
• He/She will be responsible for making compelling technology proposals in the area of hydraulic, electrohydraulic and electromechanical components and systems, inserting these into product roadmaps to create a distinct advantage for our products over competition. He/She will be responsible for leading deliverables to ensure its accuracy and co-ordinate with integrated project teams
• Provide technical leadership for the technology development and work closely with technologists
• Collaborate with global experts, external partners and extended teams to enable technology development
• Architect the IIOT solution for Eaton hydraulic products/systems, electrified systems and digital solution working with product, software & electronics and product management/marketing team. Ensure alignment with customer business objectives.
• Design Eaton IIOT connection solution architecture incuding hardware and software. Influences the requirements for the hardware and software to be done by software and electronics team.
• Collaborate with teams to identify diagnostics, sensing data, control data, predictive and prognostic data that can be used to develop digital twins, and solutions that can enable customers to reduce machine downtime, improve performance and maintain their products and systems
• Provide hands-on solution for to develop connected products - edge / cloud based solutions
• Estalish standards, processes / procedures to enable Eaton platform-as-a-service or software-as-a-service solution. Identify opportunities and define plans to grow and accelerate digital transformation
• Understand machine controls data, interpret sensor data and build optimal control solutions that can realize new revenue streams/opportunities
• Define & develop architecture for integration of all analytic/application components into the customers systems/machine/applications ecosystem
• Facilitate education of connected solution to internal teams and customers
• Stay up to date on emerging industry technology trends and threats to ensure proactive steps improve the technical and security position for Eaton
• Provide hands-on solutions on critical projects; provide technical mentoring on complex projects involving multiple components or systems for completeness and compatibility with customer objectives and standards
• Identifies unique opportunities to develop new solution offering for Eaton business.
• Collect and analyze hydraulic system data and drive models and new design for improved performance and reliability
• Participate in internal forums and represent in external forums & professional bodies developing & motivating, coaching,

QualificationsRequirement:

• Master s Degree Or Ph.D. in Mechanical / Electrical / Systems / Controls Engineering or equivalent technical field from accredited institutions
• Masters with 8+ years / PHD with 3 to 4 years engineering/technology development experience in relevant domain for the mechatronic systems and control systems
• Strong understanding of IIOT systems, cloud architecture, analytics and security needs for IOT soultions. Demonstrated hands-on experience of implementation of IIOT systems/infrastructure, applications, database and performance tuning Exposure to predictive modeling, use of standard communication protocols, software deployment for mobile & industrial IOT Deep understanding of data analytics, machine learning, python, neural networks will be a added advantage
• Should have strong understanding and hands-on with the use of data visualization techniques, tools to integrate data to produce reliable and actionable insights Exposure to DFSS, AgileStarts and Design Thinking tools and methodologies Demonstrated history of delivering business impact from use of data analytics and innovation.
• Experience in user interface (UX/UI) design and implementation
• Exposure to cybersecurity will be an added advantage
• Experience in leading projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and strong project management experience is required.
