Duties and Responsibilities The Individual Consultant will work under the overall supervision of Programme Officer UNV/ UNDP India. He/ she would be responsible for carrying out the following tasks: Carry out a desk research and draw key inputs on volunteerism for incorporation in the training module; Review the two modules namely Engaging Youth Volunteers - Volunteerism and Disaster Management and Disaster Risk Reduction(DRR) for First Responders and draw key contents for the proposed module on volunteerism and DRR; Prepare a Course Design broadly outlining the course content, learning objectives, training methodology, session plan, etc. for a 3- day course for youth volunteers on DRR focusing on Volunteerism; Obtain feedback from UNV, UNDP and finalize the Course Design; Draft simple, easy to understand training module with practical sessions for youth volunteers on Volunteerism and Disaster Risk Reduction as per approved course design; Support in organizing a multi- stakeholder consultation workshop in New Delhi to discuss the draft module and obtain feedback and suggestions of the participants; Finalize the training module duly incorporating the feedback of UNV, UNDP as well as that of the participants of the consultation workshop. Schedule of Work: Submission of thedraft Course Designbased upon desk review within 2 weeks from the date of signing of the contract; Submission ofthe final Course Design within 1 week of receiving feedback from UNV, UNDP Submission of draft module - within 2 months from the date of signing of the contract; Submission of final module within 2 weeks of receivingfeedback from UNV, UNDP and participant of the consultation workshop. Competencies Functional Competencies: Working knowledge of computers including MS Office package is essential; Good communications and organizational & interpersonal skills; Excellent analytical and writing skills; Fluency in Hindi and English with ability to convey ideas clearly in writing and orally; Ability to coordinate and facilitate consultations. Corporate Competencies: Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability; Demonstrates integrity and ethical standards. Required Skills and Experience Educational Qualifications: Master Degree in Disaster Management/ Business Administration/ Engineering / Planning/ Social Science or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years experience in disaster risk management, emergency/ crisis management or related discipline; Proven experience of undertaking similar assignments; Onsubmission of draft Course Design : 30% On submission of Draft Module : 30% On submission of final version of the Module: 40% Proposed Work Plan for undertaking the Assignmentwith approach & methodology; Detailed CV with contact detailsof three references; Financial Proposal specifying per day consultancy fee. Prior approved travel expenses will be reimbursed as per actuals in line with UNDP rules. Fluency in oral and writtenboth in Hindi and English is required. Individual consultants will be evaluated based on the following methodologies: When using this weighted scoring method, the award of the contract should be made to the individual consultant whose offer has been evaluated and determined as: Responsive/ compliant/ acceptable and Having received the highest score out of a pre- determined set of weighted technical and financial criteria specific to the solicitation. Shortlisting would be done based on the following criteria: Relevant Experience 35% Marks; Proposed Work Plan for undertaking the Assignment35% Marks; Financial 30% Marks. Only candidates obtaining a minimum of 70% point would be considered for the Financial Evaluation.,
