POSITION SUMMARY

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is currently recruiting an IT Application Smart Application Developer to join our India team based in Pune. This global team provides Application Development for our Engineering team. This developer will work with the Engineers on upcoming development work, requirements, technical specifications and ensure that once the work is completed that proper testing is completed prior to moving into our Production environment. It is expected the specialist will develop knowledge of additional CAD applications, resulting in broader growth opportunities. Will directly interact with Engineers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programming for Smart applications, main focus will be Smart 3D
  • Document technical specifications based on Engineering team needs/development requirements
  • Communications, co - ordination, documentation, minor project management and advanced trouble - shooting
  • Capability to understand engineering terminology and drawings
  • Skill to communicate well within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage a variety of ongoing tasks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • An ITEngineering Degree (or equivalent: specialized training, certification, or appropriate work experience).
  • 3 - 5 years programming experience, preferably with Microsoft C#.net, VB.net as a minimal.
  • Experience in engineering application development is a requirement.
  • SQL or Oracle DB exposure, should be able to write simple SQL, experience preferred.
  • CAD or 3D Modeling experience.
  • Smart 3D Development.
  • Experience using, supporting or developing in one or more of the following tools: Smart 3D, other CAD Tools.
  • Self - motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • An ability to independently assess and prioritize competing urgent issues, whilst identifying areas for improvement in design processes and assist in creating and implementing said solutions.
  • General understanding of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and processes.
