Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY The IT Applications Analyst for ECM (OpenText) is responsible for requirements definition, functional design, custom development and technical support within the OpenText application and other data integration applications. Included responsibility of this position is product and lifecycle management for the OpenText application as well as appropriate integration with SAP (OpenText Extended ECM of SAP) and non-SAP solutions. The individual will be responsible to drive sustainable, operational excellence in the delivery of new application enhancements and existing services. Position Responsibilities This position is accountable for the following:

  • Facilitate busess process discussions, to gather and document business requirements which ensure value-add and meet the client objectives
  • Provide technical direction in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance for bug fixes and enchancements related to OpenText and its interfaces
  • Work with the Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of projects throughout the change and release process
  • Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews
  • Understands both Agile Methodology, project execution approaches and provides guidance to other teams
  • Work with vendors to design and implement new functionality
  • Continuously drive excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability and lowering total costs
  • Responsible to deliver and maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management and meet SLAs as well as provide rotational on call coverage
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • This position requires strong knowledge and skills in the following areas:
  • 4+ years strong development and configuration experience with OpenText Content Server 16.X.X including ActiveView, Database Schemas, WebReport Design, and WebForms, Transmittal cover sheets, OTCS workflows, Smart UI configuration, IDE, OScript, SOAP and REST API services
  • Working knowledge of Content server module related to Extended ECM for Engineering like ADN, CRT, ASM, Bulk loader, Transmittal, MFT, Records Management, Brava, Blazon, Object importer is required
  • Should have clear understanding of content server module development and
  • the integration points with other third-party applications
  • Experince in custom software development experience including full development lifecycle (C# or Java, Visual Studio, HTML, JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY, SOAP, REST API, JSON)
  • Installations and Configurations knowledge of OpenText Content Server, Archive Center, Remote Cache Server, Brava, Blazon and OTDS would be an advantage
  • Should have knowledge on content server administration, search and indexing, managing OpenText platform, patching
  • Bachelor s degree in technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Troubleshooting and fixing issues
  • Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems
  • Experience with MS SQL Server a strong plus
