Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY The IT Engineering Analyst is responsible for requirements definition, functional design, custom development and technical support within the Ecosys application and other C# data integration applications. Included responsibility of this position is product and lifecycle management for the suite of Air Products Engineering Applications as well as appropriate integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions. The individual will be responsible to drive sustainable, operational excellence in the delivery of new application enhancements and existing services. Applications in this area include Hexagon Ecosys, SAP Project Systems and other Engineering enablement applications. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES This position is accountable for the following:

  • Gather and document business requirements which ensure value-add and meet the client objectives
  • Develop new functionality, create bug fixes and implement changes to Ecosys application and interfaces
  • Responsibility for creating a testing strategy and ensuring all functionality is tested prior to production deployment
  • Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews
  • Understands both Agile Methodology, project execution approaches and provides guidance to other teams
  • Work with vendors to design and implement new functionality
  • Responsible to deliver and maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management and meet SLAs as well as provide rotational on call coverage
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This position requires strong knowledge and skills in the following areas:
  • Experience with Hexagon products including EcoSys solution configuration
  • 5+ years custom software development experience including full development lifecycle
  • Bachelor s degree in technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Vendor relationship and product management skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems
  • Experience with Hexagon Smart Plant Tool systems a strong plus
